I reside in the small town of Marshall, NC with my wife and our dog, Leo. Marhsall sits nestled along the French Broad River among the Blue Ridge Mountains. The perfect backdrop to head out with camera in hand. I grew up in western PA with 45 acres of woods to roam, where I fell in love with the beauty and solitude of nature. I moved to WNC in 1998. Soon after, I met the woman who would later become my wife. The past 25 years I've worked in kitchens which, as a chef, gave me a different kind of creative outlet. Now, photography is teaching me to tap into a different side of creativness. My first camera was an old 110, and I took a lot of photos growing up. Then, in 2016 I purchased my first DSLR in anticipation of a long-awaited trip. Upon returning home, I was so excited to share all that we had experienced with our friends and family. This reignited my passion for photography. However, I quickly realized the camera wasn't capturing life the way I saw it. So, I set out to learn how to fully use it. My passion has only grown since then to share with others the awe and beauty of all that's around and that inspires. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, hiking and spending time with family.
